  • Why can l only redeem my store credit in person and not online?
    To be completely transparent when our customers use store credit redemptions they don't actually generate income and as much as we would love to live in a world of trading clothing & batering, we do have to generate actual cash somehow in order to pay our staff + rent + other expenses. We love that we have the option for customers to receive store credit or cash back as offer a business model to help our customers access great quality pieces at a price that is more accessible to them but we are NOT a library, and we don't get any government kick backs to offer this amazing social service, so in order to stay viable we have to make store credit redemptions in person only. The good news is, the pieces that don't sell via our website drops will be returned to the shop floor the following Saturday after a drop. This is when you can pop into store for a visit and a try on + redeem your store credit! Thank you for your understanding and support
  • Do you offer Click & Collect in store, or just postage?
    Free shipping is offered on all orders over $150 We offer standard Australia wide shipping at $12 per order or Express at $15 If you are local to Newcastle you can select to collect in store, and we'll let you know when it's been packed! Please collect within 2 weeks. Our opening hours are on our IG or google profile!
  • Can l try on a garment l want to buy from your online store, in store?
    Yes, we'll return unsold items to the shop floor the following Saturday after the online drop (e.g If the online drop happens Thursday Night, the items will be available in store 1 day later) and then you are free to try them on + redeem your store credit on these items.
  • What is your return policy?
    Love it, but not sure if it'll work? No worries! You can try your garment on in the comfort of your own home & if for some reason it doesn't work return your item back to us within 7 days of purchasing for a full store credit refund. Make sure you leave our tags on, and return it within 7 days of purchasing. Returns made after the 7 day limit will be exchanged via our normal exchange model at 50% store credit. If you do receive an unexpectedly faulty item, you must contact us hello@theconsciousexchange.com.au within 24 hours of receiving your parcel to let us know of the fault. Sale items are not eligible for refund/returns
  • What is the size & heights of your models?
    Our current models are our lovely retail team members (not professional models) who currently range from size 6AU - 14AU Nicole wears an 6AU and is 171cm/5foot7 Erica wears a 8AU and is 164cm/5foot4 Chelsea wears a size AU8 173cm /5foot8 Ella is generally a size AU10 and is 160cm/5foot3 Emma is a size AU10-12 and 173cm /5foot8
  • How do l find my store credit?
    After your exchange you'll be emailed your store credit. NOTE: It's super important that you let us know on the day of your exchange if you don't receive your store credit email as unfortunately our system doesn't allow us to look up store credits sent to your email, we can only look by the date it was issued! I know it's super annoying, but we aren't software developers so for now this is the only system we have access too. Once you get your store credit, we suggest you save a screen shot of the QR code and full barcode to your camera roll or phone notes so it's readily available. Our software system also just updated to allow you to save the voucher to your apple wallet so we suggest you do this too! You can check your balance via this link: https://squareup.com/gift/0W1QY83TWW0X5/check-balance Store credit can only be redeemed in store, on full priced preloved & vintage items. It's not valid on special events, new merchandise, eco products or sale stock.
  • How we rate the condition of our garments
    We try to only select really special pieces in excellent condition for our online store to ensure you are purchasing a piece that will be perfect for you. Although, all our garments are Vintage & Preloved so you should expect signs they have been worn and loved before! Please refer to the key below for an explanation of the garment condition rating: New with tags: The Garment is in original condition (just like it would have been if you purchased new) and has the original manufacturer's tags attached New with tags but faulty: The Garment has the original manufacturer's tags attached but has damage, staining etc that may have occurred since the garment was purchased whilst in storages or transit Great Preloved Condition: garment may have been washed or worn, but doesn't show any signs of wear Good Preloved Condition : garment has been lightly worn, washed and may show some signs of wear, such as mild pilling or slight wash-fade Great Vintage Condition: garment was manufactured over 20 years ago, it may have been washed or worn, but shows minimal signs of wear Good Vintage Condition : This vintage garment has been manufactured over 20 years ago and therefore may shown signs of ageing along with being lightly worn, washed and may show some signs of wear, such as mild pilling or slight wash-fade We will always do our best to outline any major faults with a garment on the individual listings.
